“Mr. Brown, we haven’t even been taking this class for a year, but I feel like… Physics is EVERYWHERE!”
- B, Former Student
Weekly Sessions
(45 or 60 min)
In-Person or Online
For some students, particularly those who would like focused, sustained help working on how to set up and work through physics ideas, weekly, in person meetings can be the most help.
In physics, we are often drawing and writing equations. Some students have access to writing tablets and/or video cameras that make this easy to do online, while others can find these digital tools very frustrating. For students who would like to meet in person, I can work with you to find a time and place where we can meet together given my schedule and yours.
Twice Weekly Sessions
(30 or 45 min)
Online
I have taught and tutored students in AP Physics for 10 years and my students have consistently earn 5's and 4's on the exam every year.
Online tutoring is the ideal format for supporting students who want to improve in AP Physics. Given the speed and complexity of the material, the majority of my students find that having one or two 30 minute sessions per week is the ideal arrangement. During these sessions, the student and I can clarify the material from the previous day(s) and still find that we have time to preview the next few days' material.
For students that are struggling, I have strategies and supports that I have developed over the last 15 years that can transform a student's AP Physics skills and confidence.
Immediate Tutoring
(30 min)
Online
I offer immediate Physics homework/test support. This is particularly useful for AP Physics exams.
Rather than spending time struggling on a confusing homework assignment or questioning your Physics understanding before a test, you can get immediate support.
If you email or text before 7 pm EST, I will do my best to schedule an emergency session that night. Each emergency session is at least 30 minutes long.
However, please be warned! I have a young family and I cannot guarantee that I will be available. I will help if I can, but my family comes first.
